Immunity booster foods for kids

Mothers are worried when their babies catch cold and cough frequently. What is the reason behind baby's getting sick. It is related to their immunity power. 

What is immunity? It is the ability of our body to fight against infections and illnesses. We can increase immunity by eating certain foods. Top ten immunity booster foods for kids are given below,

1. Turmeric: Turmeric is known for its anti bacterial properties. It also has powerful medicinal properties. It helps our body fight foreign invaders and also has a role in repairing damage. Mix a pinch of turmeric in babies milk and feed them.

Citrus fruits: Citrus fruits are those fruits that have sour taste like lemon, orange, pomegranate, straw berries etc. Citrus fruits have excellent source vitamin C which helps in increasing immunity power. Its better to give the whole. fruit than to give fruit juice. Cut the fruits into pieces and feed the baby.

3. Leafy vegetables: Green leafy vegetables have a lot of vitamins, minerals and disease fighting elements. Dark green vegetables contains rich sources of iron, magnesium, potassium and calcium. Include these in your babies diet.

4. Dry fruits: Almonds, dates, walnuts, raisins are a rich source of vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant our immune system needs to function properly. Include these in powdered form in your babies diet.
